Our work at Open Catskills is driven entirely by the efforts of volunteers in the community. Here are two ways you can get involved.
Make a financial donation
Your tax-deductible contribution helps us to achieve our mission of supporting refugees and asylum seekers in Delaware County.
In addition to our operating expenses (which are kept to the bare minimum) our general fund is deployed in situations where we need to respond rapidly to support individuals or families.
Our current campaign supports refugee students who travelled to SUNY Delhi from the Dadaab refugee caps in Kenya to study nursing. Your support will help pay for their tuition, room and board, textbooks, and living expenses.
Volunteer
Send us an email if you would like to volunteer your time. Tell us how you would like to contribute your time and list any special skills or resources (i.e., languages, driving, housing).
